Content Strategy | City of Hamilton
Produced: Spring 2018
Assignment:
Create a long-term Content Strategy plan for the city ofHamilton’s award-winning Social Media.

Problem Statement:
“Curate and develop compelling, informational, and exciting content that empowers the greater Hamilton area to better engage in their community.”

Process:
Each group had the task of creating a mini social media campaign based on a different initiative that the City of Hamilton wanted to highlight, my team was given CORE. The campaigns were posted on the city’s social media platforms. After they were completed, each group completed an analysis of the results. Overall, our campaigns created a boost in positive engagement throughout their social media platforms. Ours ended up performing extremely well.
The next part of the project consisted of creating the long-term content strategy plan for the city. After synthesizing the previous data, our team identified key findings as well as pinpointed our target audience and messaging for the plan as well as other details for their content such as topics, voice, and tone.
The section I worked on specifically was workflow and governance which included organizing the editorial calendar which the city can use for posting content from month to month.
Completed Plan
Presentation to Client

Visual Rhetoric | Data Visualization
Produced: Fall 2017
Assignment:
Find and Research a data set of 100 entries or more, then represent them in a visualization using D3 or Adobe Suite.
My Solution:
Since I have never been a fan of numbers, I decided to analyze text as my data set. I chose three Jane Austen novels and analyzed the top ten words in each book as well as their placement within the novels.

I created the design using the Adobe Suite, predominately Illustrator. I used the project as a training exercise to teach myself the program.
